Premier Dental features the latest technology in order to deliver the highest-quality dentistry in Lee’s Summit. CEREC CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing) is the most versatile tool in our office and its primary advantage is fixing broken down teeth in the same day. This eliminates the need for messy impressions and waiting two weeks or more while wearing a temporary crown.
After slight adjustments to the shape of the tooth, Dr. Caye uses a digital scanner to take a simple scan of the area and create very accurate 3D models of your tooth. These models can then be viewed on a computer screen to design a custom, natural looking crown. Once this crown is customized to fit seamlessly within your smile, the digital file is sent to a milling unit that precisely shapes a crown from a ceramic block. From start to finish, we will have you smiling again within 90 minutes.
CEREC is the pioneer in CAD/CAM technology with over 30 years of experience and 250 scientific studies. The technology allows for incredibly precise scans and great fitting restorations. A scan accurately measure the rotation and angulations of the teeth aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontics.
The design software allows Dr. Caye to create beautiful veneers, inlays, and onlays that can greatly enhance your smile. The milling unit fabricates perfectly fitting implant crowns thereby increasing the longevity of implants.
“I needed a crown on a tooth that had an old filling and I had been putting it off. It started bothering me just a little, late last week. Premier Dental was able to get an appointment for me within a couple of days. I went in at 3:30 and walked out at 5 with the crown complete. I love the fact that they are able to take care of everything in one appointment. The crown fits perfect and there was no pain. Dr. Caye is great, I felt absolutely no pain when he went to numb me and he was very caring throughout the entire procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Caye and Premier Dental. I am planning some cosmetic work in the future.”
